Electronics Design Engineer

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and analytical degree qualified Electronics Engineer to join a small engineering team.  Preferably with a background in power conditioning, motor control or UPS you will be developing new products and systems, supporting electromechanical design activities and assisting with development tests on electrical generation equipment from a few kW to several hundred kW.

 

You should be a strong team player, have an emphasis on detail design for manufacture, a 'hands-on' approach to progressing designs and knowledge covering the following areas:

  • Embedded controls and associated firmware
  • Power semiconductors and related drive components
  • Switch mode and power circuit design
  • Electronic simulation and control algorithms
  • Measurement techniques in a development environment
  • Analogue and digital circuit design
  • Sensors and transducers
  • CAD
  • EMC.

Capable of operating within a dynamic team working environment, your bright and flexible approach will require good written and oral communication skills, professional responsibility for your own contributions and clear presentation of engineered solutions.

 

Electromechanical Design Engineer

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic degree qualified Electromechanical Design Engineer to join a small engineering team.  Preferably with a background in fluid transfer, process or rotating machinery design, you will be developing new systems, supporting design activities and assisting with development tests on ORC – based electrical generation equipment incorporating high speed turbines and alternators.

 

You should be familiar with CAD systems, have a ‘hands – on’ approach to progressing designs and be comfortable with a broad spectrum of electromechanical design activities.  A strong team  player with an emphasis on design for manufacture, your knowledge should encompass:

  • PLC's and associated programming
  • Electrical design
  • Electronic apparatus
  • Sensors and transducers
  • Rotating machinery and magnet systems
  • Fluid mechanics
  • Process pipework and flange arrangements
  • Machinery integration
  • Thermodynamics.
