The underlying cost of an installed Freepower system used to create the above graph, is based on systems developing a power rating of 25kW or greater.
It is based on the United Kingdom marketplace, and assumes the inclusion of benefits provided by, for example, Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs).
The price of electricity generated by a Freepower system above, is assumed to fall between 4 pence and 7 pence per kilowatt hour generated.
The six graphs plot the payback period for a range of operating times of the base equipment expressed as between 70% to 95% of annual availability.
